McCleaniacs, I am so thrilled to tell you that I am going to be the featured performer at the spectacular EL CID on Sunset Blvd in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles on October 3rd! My set will start at 8pm and be over at 8:30pm (DOORS at 7:30 – get there early for a good seat!!), with the open mic starting at 8:30pm (a mix of comedy and music – usually surprisingly good). I’m going to have a brand new song, a revived and massaged cover (but you’ve never seen me do it, trust me), and a fucking incredible new costume that I haven’t started making, but I’m dreaming about it, and it’s spectacular. (And I’ve just discovered control undergarments, so things might get a little sexier. Covered, but streamlined).
I’m super honored to finally have snagged the featured performer spot at the El Cid open mic; for some odd reason it’s been a little goal of mine. I want everyone to be there – THAT MEANS YOU! – and here’s the invite on Facebook if you want to let me know you’re coming and share it with your pals.
We will also be celebrating my first anniversary back in California! I rolled into town after taking a luxurious two-day road trip in my 95 Camry from St. Paul, Minnesota, just in time for my 20th high school reunion at the TGI Friday’s in Yorba Linda, on October 3rd, 2015.
